Jazz On The Mountain At Horseshoe
Jazz On The Mountain At Horseshoe – Saturday, August 13th, 2016
Festival Venue Announcement
The Jazz On The Mountain Festival is pleased to announce its new venue at Horseshoe Resort, Barrie, Ontario. Paying close attention to its Festivalgoers, Founder & Producer Arnold Schwisberg said: “It’s clear that a majority of the fans in attendance during our first three years in Ontario strongly indicated their preference for a venue closer to the GTA. With Horseshoe Resort a mere hour’s drive from Toronto, we’re responding to the wishes of our audience.”
Horseshoe Resort’s Director of Operations Jonathan Reid is excited: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming one of Ontario’s richest musical event experiences. We look forward to many successful years hosting JAZZ ON THE MOUNTAIN AT HORSESHOE.”
JAZZ ON THE MOUNTAIN AT HORSESHOE will be a special experience offering a variety of events, concerts, family activities, attractions and on-resort experiences such as a full 18-hole golf course and spa services and fabulous food & drink, throughout the venue inauguration day of Saturday, August 13th, 2016.
Opening Act concerts will be presented in the afternoon on Saturday, August 13, 2016 featuring up-and-coming and most-promising Canadian and international musicians showcasing a potent combination of jazz, pop, funk and R&B. The day will be a guitarist’s dream, featuring some Canadian virtuosos and from the U.S., one of the most recorded and celebrated guitarists of all time.
Jazz Alive, the continuation of the successful late-night music jam session with surprise guest artists, will be featured at the Crazy Horse Sports Bar & Grill in Horseshoe Resort until the wee morning hours.
As an added experience – JAZZ ON THE MOUNTAIN AT HORSESHOE continues the presentation of its incredible and life-altering Master Classes, with an expanded scope this year and housed within its own building a minute’s walk from the Mainstage. Overseen for the third year running by guitarist Stan Samole, one of the most respected music educators in North America, the Master Classes offer festivalgoers an opportunity to hear how the music is built from the ground up, and to get up-close-and-personal with major international music professionals.
The full schedule and line-up of all artists will be announced on Thursday, June 30, 2016 with tickets going on sale shortly thereafter through www.ticketfly.com.
